Tony Meadow had become famous as a state prosecutor in Portugal many years before at the much publicized trial of a Catholic priest.

The priest was kept for eighteen years under preventive arrest as Meadow and his team prepared the six-million-one-hundred-twenty-two-thousand-pages accusation file to be submitted to the trial Judge, a judicial record by then.

Criminal instruction-judge Cathy Littleriver issued more than fifteen-thousand search warrants to investigate the case, also a judicial record.

At the trial, which lasted for more than thirty-one years, Meadow called for the death-penalty.

The Judge, taking into account his old age, ultimately delivered the priest a life-sentence for his crime. The woman, then 73, was acquitted.
